Students from New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering participated in VinUni’s program, focusing on digital twins to solve pressing urban concerns such as transportation, air quality, and public health in Vietnam’s rapidly developing cities.
During their two-week stay, participants engaged in intensive coursework and practical projects, applying theoretical concepts to real-life scenarios while collaborating with local experts and peers.
The curriculum also included guided site visits and immersive experiences, allowing students to observe firsthand the complexities of urban management and the opportunities presented by technological innovation in Southeast Asia’s largest metropolises.
Beyond academics, the itinerary featured cultural excursions such as exploring historic landmarks, enjoying street food, and touring iconic sites like the Temple of Literature and Ha Long Bay, enriching the students’ understanding of Vietnamese heritage and daily life.
Additional highlights included a visit to Vinasoy, where learners examined sustainable food production practices, and a trip to VinFast’s manufacturing facilities, offering insight into Vietnam’s evolving automotive sector and its role in shaping eco-friendly mobility solutions.
The program concluded with reflections on how data-driven approaches and collaborative efforts can help build resilient, sustainable urban environments, inspiring both personal growth and professional development among participants.
