Role Overview
Full-time clinical faculty members will lead clinical instruction, patient care, academic contributions, and administrative leadership across both undergraduate and graduate internal medicine tracks. Faculty play a vital role in curriculum enhancement, mentorship, and embedding clinical excellence throughout medical training at VinUniversity.
Core Duties
Teaching & Clinical Instruction: Deliver comprehensive training in patient assessment, clinical reasoning, and professional communication in real-world and simulated environments, using innovative pedagogical strategies such as case-based learning, conferences, and journal clubs.
- Lead hands-on clinical sessions, bedside teaching, and simulation-based learning across hospital and campus settings.
- Develop detailed course outlines and educational resources for MD and IM curricula. Mentor students and residents while collaborating on interdisciplinary initiatives.
Clinical Practice & Oversight:
- Offer outstanding patient care at partner hospitals including 108 Military Central Hospital and Ocean Park Clinic.
- Guide learners during clinical rotations, ensuring adherence to best practices and supporting ongoing assessment processes.
- Drive enhancements in patient safety, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes through continuous quality initiatives.
Leadership & Program Advancement:
- Work closely with program directors and associates to foster learner growth, wellbeing, and overall program excellence.
- Engage in accreditation reviews, program evaluations, and provide career guidance to trainees.
- Participate actively in departmental committees and strategic planning efforts.
- Support curriculum innovation, accreditation readiness, continuing medical education, policy formation, and governance.
Research & Scholarly Activities (Optional):
- Supervise student and resident research initiatives.
- Pursue scholarly work connected to clinical education or your specialty.
- Publish findings in respected peer-reviewed journals.
Essential Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with postgraduate specialization and board certification.
- Proven record of clinical expertise in your field.
- Experience educating medical students and residents in clinical or academic contexts.
- Outstanding command of English for effective teaching and communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and teamwork abilities.
Desirable Attributes
- Background in curriculum design and accreditation processes (WFME, ACGME-I).
- Experience with simulation or interprofessional education frameworks.
- Active involvement in clinical teaching or medical education research.
- International exposure in clinical or academic settings.
