Integrated Bachelor’s-Master’s Degree Program at The University of Queensland for VinUniversity Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Students

Recently, VinUniversity successfully signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Queensland (UQ) in Australia on the launching of the integrated Bachelor’s-Master’s Degree program for Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering students from the College Engineering and Computer Science.
Accordingly, students will complete 3.5 years of study at VinUniversity and the next 2 years at UQ. After 5.5 years, VinUniversity students will graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree from VinUniversity and a Master’s Degree from the University of Queensland.
In particular, VinUniversity students will also have the opportunity to apply for Vingroup’s 1,100 Science and Technology Scholarships Program for Overseas Study for Master’s and Doctoral Degrees to receive full-aid funding throughout the duration of their study at the University of Queensland. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, living expenses, health insurance, round-trip airfare, and other related expenses.
The University of Queensland is located in Brisbane – the most vibrant city in the Australian state of Queensland. With 112 years of history, UQ is considered one of Australia’s leading educational and research centers. The university is ranked #47 globally by QS World University Ranking 2026, and #3 in Australia by USNews 2026. As one of the founding members of Go8, UQ has always played an important role in undergraduate research in Australia, with its total research funding being the 2nd largest among Australian universities.
In addition to the University of Queensland, students of VinUniversity’s College of Engineering and Computer Science can also apply for integrated Bachelor’s – Master’s programs at other prestigious universities such as the University of Pennsylvania, USA. (ranked 13 in the world); University of California San Diego, USA (ranked 34 in the world); or University of Technology Sydney, Australia (ranked 11th in the world in the Young University Rankings).

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION TO THE INTEGRATED BACHELOR’S – MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAM BY VINUNIVERSITY AND THE UNIVERSITY OF QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA:
To be eligible to apply for the program, students must meet the following conditions:
- Successfully completed 3.5 years of study in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering at VinUni
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.67/4.0 or higher at the time of application.
- Have a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 with no band below 6.0; or a TOEFL iBT score of at least 87 with a minimum score of 21 in writing, and a minimum score of 19 in each of the speaking, listening and reading tests.
The 2 corresponding Master’s programs at UQ for VinUniversity students enrolling in this program are:
- Master of Mechanical Engineering
- Master of Electrical Engineering
